Hi,
Sorry if this is a really silly question, but where can I get a key cut in Sheffield City Centre? I'd prefer not to have to pay to go all the way to Meadowhall.
Thanks muchness

I'm 99% sure the shop next door to Cavels on Hight St does key cutting. I'm pretty sure thers somewhere in/near the markets that does it to.

Yes Mr Craig is indeed correct ;)
Cavells is a bar on High Street. It's about half way between the Cathedral and Castle Square tram stops, more or less opposite Nat West bank.
There used to be loads of key-cutting places. Now there don't seem to be as many. Why do shops that cut keys also always mend shoes?
There is also a place on West St, next door (ish) to Varsity.

there are two (at least) key-cutting shops inside the amrket.
One is in the basement floor, near the central stairs down from the meat and fish market hall, he specialises in keys, with a sideline in engraving/ trophies.
he cuts just about all my keys, he is really good.
upstairs, on the entrance level, there's a shoe-repairs stall which does key cutting.
and yes, there's Aldams on west street, just below varsity, which are a decent key cutters. (and they do really decent shoe repairs)

There's a place near the top end of West Street.
Cheap, quick and friendly :)
