Are there not any orphanages anymore? I suspect I am a bit behind the times. Are they called something different now?
The reason I ask is because I have cleared out LOADS of childrens clothes and wanted to donate them to somewhere that may need them rather than a charity shop.
Does anyone know of somewhere that could use them like a womens refuge etc?

I don't think they are orphanages as such. They will be children's homes that will just happen children in their care who happen to be parentless. Contact Family and Community Services as they are (I think) are in overall charge of children's homes. They quite a bit of funding now, so may not take them.

I have a good few baby clothes too - 9 months onwards i think. I want someone to have them who will really make good use out of them. They're all good quality & are like new.
