well im divided between the two sides really,
the old side who liked the old style and the new side who prefer the new font and layouts.
saying that it needed a change as it was looking a-bit dated ;)

The Star has been going down hill for ages, circulation has dropped dramatically in the last 2 years - plus they have new owners.
They also increased the advertising rate and made the page size 9 columns effectively making you pay more for less space.
And I dont like the new format.
P.
id have thought you'd have liked it paul, you always wanted them to change the cak typeface ;)

My Gran isn't too keen on the new star. She reckons that the text is too small for her to read! She usually can read the newspaper on the bus, on her way home from work (without glasses) But now she has to wait until she gets home to read it, because it sends her eyes funny! lol!
I think its pretty good to be honest, I like the stars on the back page, they look brill :-)

I agree with Caprice's nan; some of the fonts are too small, even with your specs on - I'll give it a few more weeks but then if it still stays the same I'll cancel it. No point in buying something you can't read, is there?
well hopefully saying that we are in the star today maybe they'll read some comments on it :D

True. I do agree with my gran though, it's too small. Maybe the new image is just for a trial period, they may change some bits once they have heard people's comments.
Is the font size on here workng?
Well I like it anyway, it makes it look a bit more up to date

i voted "NO" because other than the guardian it must be one of the most bias papers in existance, i like to hear the news, not somebody elses version of the news.
Of course thats just my opinion.
they just make stories up now with no evidence...They don't check them at all..........
The movie section is a farce. possibly the most inadequate reviews ever....
also its just not written well or interestingly

The Sheffield Star has deteriated very much over the past few years, very little local news,it is supposed to be an evening newspaper but i had mine delivered at 1-0pm last Saturday,I remember when it had the half time football scores and the first 2 or 3 race results in the stop press
