A few years ago my son wrote a letter to Santa, I wrote on the envelope
To Father Christmas
Lapland.
We posted it and a week later he got a reply back from Santa, I think at that time the workers in the sorting office would write replies, to kiddies letters.
As I say it was a few years ago so don't know if they still do it.

If he puts a stamp on it and sends it to santa at the north pole, his little helpers at the royal mail ensure he gets a reply ;)

usually in postcard form.

Theres a thread on the forum from a few months back that has the proper address to send a letter to.
I tried to find it, but i either used the wrong keywords in search or the thread was deleted.

Why are people so eager to lie to their children? I never did understand that.

Well the way i see it is as adults we get enough crap to contend with so why not let the kids have a little bit of pleasure and fantasy and mystery and magic in their lives.
It ends all too soon. For some kids it ends TOO soon.

yes what horrible people they must be, to let our childrens imagination run riot. To allow them to be thrilled with thoughts of Father Christmas and all the good he brings. Of little elves working all year to make the toys that he brings, to share universal happiness.
To see the little ones delight on Christmas Morning, when all the presents are there, laid out as if by magic.
Yes I wonder why we tell our children stories too.
Perhaps it is because we love them?

Listen buster, the point is not about lying to the kids, the point is that one day you will have to shatter their fragile little hearts and reveal that instead of elves making toys, it is all just one gigantic capitalist diversion, fashioned to make you part with your cash and leave you feeling impotent about the direction of your meaningless tawdry life!

There is real magic in life but when people are too stupid to even look for it they make up fantasies that only serve to patch over the soul bleeding out of your body like a breached dam. Children deserve more respect; not parents who are mean unimaginative liars. Merry christmas!

It is not often that I descend to the level that people like you live at.
But I will say this
You are a lousy stinking ratbag, who would not know the Spirit of Christmas if it smacked you in the gob.
Satisfied now?

Is this the way you teach your kids geography then? No wonder they grow up thinking Lapland is some drug induced club in London.

I see now, the reason you are a hooligan is that you were despised as a child, as you are an adult.
You have my sympathy asbo child.

The best thing is that not only do they be really good near xmas but they write a letter with the things they would really like, the night before put something out for santa and the reindeers and then in the morning these presents are piled high and santa has been with the things they want. But the best thing of all is their little faces when santas been.i think when you have kids it makes christmas totally different and more worth while.we've taped it every single time and camcorder when they come down stairs and you see their faces.(and thats just my other half):hihi:

Artisan, there's no need to be so offensive, really. You just don't get Mini's sense of humour, that's all. Give it a while and it'll grow on you. Mini's one of the most respected contributors on here, and it's for good reason.

Just because you are my wife doesn't give you any cause for you to defend me against Scrooges like Arty Farty pants. I will be down stairs in five minutes and I expect my kippers to be ready and laid on the table in the position I like them. And I hope you've ironed my wig!

I'm afraid they have no requirement for that either, being ever so powerful. On that note...I think we have established the address and locality for Santa/Satan.
