View Full Version : Wash Powder Reccomendations
BobbyBunny 15-09-2006, 13:15 Hey everyone
I was wondering whether anyone has any reccomendations for a good wash powder?
I don't know if any other women on here are the same, but I have a thing for washing clothes. It has to be my favourite chore. The sound of the washing machine relaxes me so much. My boyfriend complains because I wash his clothes before he gets up when he wanted to wear them again the next day...
I know to some of the people on here my obsession might seem 'sad' but I love it. :hihi:

BobbyBunny 15-09-2006, 13:45 Beanpod, the one you use looks great, might consider that. I'm currently using Surf liquid in Tropical (the pink one) and its lovely. The thing is though, I have sensitive skin and after a while ANY wash powder irritates me. Even the one the doctors gave me to stop the itching irritated after a while, so I don't use one brand all the time - I have to keep swapping just before the itching starts. :loopy:
TattooedDoll 15-09-2006, 13:48 The absolute best i have found is Tesco's sunshine flavour stuff. It smells gorgeous and doesn't make your skin itch! It's taken me ages to find one i like. God i'm sad!!!
torin, I couldn't agree more, Fairy non-bio, the smell is fab!

I tried that, but it made me itch as soon as I put my clothes on. Lol.. And we'd bought this big box of it

My hub has eczema and suffers with the dreaded washing powder itch too. He's definitely noticed less itch with Bio!

Thats the thing though, I don't just itch a little, its like I'm covered in bugs! its horrible! Lol
But my clothes washing obsession is good. Thats one less thing I don't dread doing! :hihi:

Us Lads do washing as well let mi tell you.;)
I / we use Tesco's own liquid capsules. Combine with a decent conditioner and Bob's your uncle.
Incidentally, Why are women faster than Men at hanging washing out?

Because they can get more pegs in their mouths. :o :hihi:
is this something to do with sitting on the washing machine while its on spin?!?
Sedge, are you by any chance of the male gender LOL
BobbyBunny 15-09-2006, 14:01 I don't hang my washing on the line - I can't. We have 7 dogs... its not likely that our washing wouldn't be covered in fur/mud/food/paw prints if it was on the line for five minutes.
And sedge, don't presume thats why some women like to wash clothes. Its all to do with being clean.. I'm a clean freak, I can't live in a dirty house or with dirty clothes. Lol
well, faye12, it could be, or I might be of the female species and use this technique myself.
Whatever floats your boat,
Unfortunately my washing machine is under my worktop!

Does it not shrink your T shirts, it does ours.
Fine for towels though.

I should imagine you get more for your money using powder, but I'm an idle ass student so I go for the easy option when I'm not at home! :D Mummy uses powder, but only cos she washes like 4 times a day and its more economical lol
Bold washing powder or tablets with either Lenor (my preference) or whats the other one called.......ermmmm  comfort, thats it. Memory went blank then lol
Makes ur clothes smell really nice, i can still smell it on my top what i put on this weekend lol

Lol the liquid is good, all you do is shove a certain amount in the ball, chuck the ball in the wash and you're away.
