Son 1 brought a fluffy rabbit home from school to write about. It is white and came complete with a pink bow and pink ballet shoes. I said that I would make it a dress over the weekend (as it looked daft wearing shoes and nothing else) and he wants to help. Bearing in mind he is only 6 what do you think would be reasonable for hime to do? I know I could get him to hammer in some poppers but what else?

You know how ballet skirts are gathered? Maybe he could help with that by threading the ribbon or whatever you're using through the appropriate holes. I don't know at what age they're let loose with scissors, or I would have suggested cutting straight lengths of fabric. Then again, I'm not very reliable at doing that myself, and I'm 35 :hihi: .

How about making a plain white dress, and getting some fabric pens, let him design his own pattern on the dress?

Thinking of doing a flared pinafore type dress with poppers on shoulders and a pocket on the front. M has tried to use my scissors before and hes not good at it. I think he wants to try the sewing machine - it would have to be sit
