Re watched fight club last night and I thought everything about that movie is amazing. The action sequences, the philosophy and even the techno Dust Brothers score. A movie that has been largely under promoted because of its anti-corporate message and its support of terrorism. I used to think blade runner was the best film ever made but I now believe that Fight Club is the greatest film ever made.
What is your greatest film of all time?
Damm I forgot the first rule of fight club Don't talk about fight club.
Has anyone Seen Norton in American History X Ed not graham:thumbsup:

Yeah , I remeber thinking it was a great film especially mustachioed überwensch Helena B-C.

Can't actually remember much about it, other than Brad Pitt was an fantasy character (kinda like real life).

Did they ever make a movie of Diceman?

Yeah ... totally loved fight-club too ... defo one of my all time fave films.

The pixies track 'where is my mind' was amazing ...

As for going out and doing what it says in the film (organised fight clubs) ... that's just as insane as living the corporate lie that they put down in the film.

sorry i'm only messing around just being pedantic.

If you want to know what techno is download something by Derrick May, Inland Knights or DJ Rush.

erm, the point of the film is (and i think Chuck Palanhuik's book gets this across better) not about the promotiong of an anti-corporate message, nor is it a promotion of terrorism (unless you consider cartoons to promote violence too). What the film tries to get across is that this generation is being lost to the world and that the sheer force of a cult of personality can cause a person to do incredibly alarming and violent things. This generation feels constricted and totally unable to do anything, and the only way they can vent this frustration and feel like they have control is by feeling (and causing to a lesser degree) pain.

It's still my favourite film, mainly because I love David Fincher's visual style of direction and he was given the ability to do what he wanted with this film (as opposed to other films he has done like Alien 3)

I agree. But the point I made was the reason why studio bosses didn't promote it rather than saying what was the real message of the film. I havent read the book I'm one of these weird guys who say I prefered the film. Its just a lot less effort. I'm a lazy ****:P
