Now that Sinclairs has been demolished and relocated further up West Street, what is going to be built there to replace?

This part of West Street looks like a huge chunk has just been bitten off by Godzilla!

Now that Sinclair's has gone - they are going to build a new one, with "wow factor" as the man himself said a few months ago. The old building was inconvenient as it was a row of knocked through terraces. This new one will be 2 floors of shop, and student flats above.
I don't really know what "wow factor" is, but it looks like yet another plain old building on West Street.
The one in the old Jaeger shop is just temporary..

The "wow factor" probably refers to the pile of money the guy'll make as landlord of a lucrative property on West Street...

West Street shaping up to be a great part of the city centre, you can really see the new face of Sheffield developing rapidly.

Yes we are about 5 if not more years behind Leeds when it comes to regeneration of our city but at least its finally happening now, unlike alot of towns and cities within the UK.

I'm sorry any Leeds fans in this forum but Sheffield still wins hands down on friendliness, crime, sport/entertainment facilities, theatres/museums, Supertram (poor Leeds just had there Supertram plans trashed by the Government) and of course dont forget the 2nd most visited National Park in the world - The Peak District within our cities boundary.

All these things can be enjoyed by people who don't earn a fortune unlike Leeds where unless your a high earner you can't experience all the benefits of the city like it's designer shops, luxury apartments and posh wine bars.

At least here in Sheffield everyone is catered for and not socially excluded on the scale the poor people of Leeds are.
