...well not quite, but some 35 years after the moon landings, some nice person has pulled the original film stock out of the archives, thawed the frozen rolls out and digitally scanned the pictures of the moon landing.

Some of the photos are absolutely beautiful and can be found here :

No doubt the conspiracy theorists are at work over the moon landings all over again with these latest scans :P

Time to go watch Capricorn One again I feel

Be nice wouldnt it ?

Found a very nice conspiracy type pic -

http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/History/alsj/a11/ap11-69-H-698.jpg

Caption says

"Apollo 11 Lunar Module Pilot Edwin E. Aldrin (front) and Spacecraft Commander Neil Armstrong (rear) practice lunar surface activities at Manned Spacecraft Center, Houston, TX."

Think it should really say

"U wanna swing the goddam camera around ? I can see someone in the background - those rednecks wont believe these photos at all !" :P

This one is a slightly better effort :

Caption competition starts here. Entries on back of a postcard please...

They're amazing!

I've no time for the conspiracy theorists on this one - it's just so pathetic that they take one of the greatest feats of human endeavour and try to belittle it. Small people with small minds. The quicker we get to Mars the better!

Capricorn One was on the box last night - still a good movie!
