I remember some members of the Pheonix rode in the 1948 Olympics. One of them was Neville Taylor, and I believe Ken Slater and one other. I was a member for a short time before the Navy, but far from their class. I later joined the Sheffield RCC which had a close relationship with the Pheonix Road club, a BLRC offshoot of the Pheonix cycling club. Can anyone tell me if these fine clubs are still functioning.
