I just wanted to know what has happened to all the places I loved going with my friends I mean they don't exist anymore or have turned crap. :(

We started our night at the Stonehouse (now shut) stayed there until 9ish, went straight to Dickins (now Crystal) to be honest never liked Dickins but it was a laugh with my friends. Then we'd go down to Empire (Empire are lucky if they have more than 5 people in at one time now) music was and still can be very good. Then we'd go to Kingdom, the only reason I'm really moaning about Kingdom is because WHY  H WHY did you split that main room and put in an R'N'B room. Me and my friends used to stand on the top balcony every weekend, we can't now and it's not the same if we stand anywhere else. The R'N'B room is soooo small I don't know why they bothered

We probably did that routine for about 4 years we never ever got bored of it, maybe it's becasue we've all grown up I'm now 23 and am in a serious relationship, some of my friends have kids I hate change it POO!!!!

What about anyone on here do they feel the same?

Interesting how many posts start and end like that but then go on to list a different set of bars/clubs depending on the age of the poster!

Things move on every few years and most folk look back on the times they were going out the most as their fave times.. No doubt someone will post on here in 2012 asking whatever happned to all those great bars & clubs they used to go into in 2006 & how things arent the same...

...c'est la vie...

No all the ***** places are slowly becoming extinct thank god!

There are loads of MUCH better bars (and clubs) now than those you mentioned.

Crystal didn't used to be a bar. Dickins is now Ruby Lounge incidentally.

In the main room at Kingdom they lost half a balcony which is where me and my friends used to stand. Your thinking of when you first walk up the stairs and turn left that's where they used to serve food. If you walked in the main doors at the top of the stairs you could turn left or right now you have to turn right or go down the stairs. It gets very crowded in the doorway now you have to fight your way through there's no room

What used to be the kitchen was nowhere near the size of what the RnB room is.

Where the RnB room, they cut half majority of the balcony and also shut a bar too, re-opened a smaller bar in RnB room,
