Hi all,

Does anyone know anything about hypnotherapy? If so has it worked for you? I am currently undergoing counselling but it doesn't seem to make a blind bit of difference...
Hypnotherapy seems to be something to consider as it does seem to work on certain people. I suffer from terrible panic attacks and lack of confidence in myself which makes it almost imposssible to lead a normal life in any way.
Can anyone recommend a good hypnotherapist if Sheffied?

Hi

I have had hypnotherapy and found it very relaxing... i can understand that about the counselling not making any difference as it didnt for me either... hence why i turned to hypnotherapy, it was the best thing i could have done i was like a completely different person lots of people noticed the change including my family.

If you would like to know more feel free to contact me

Take care

Doesn't the one world health foundation offer hypnotherapy?
They advertise on here sometimes or try askinf your GP to recommend someone - you have to be careful because although hypnotherapy can be very good, absolutuly anyone can set themselves up as one - so check their creds first.

Good luck, hope you manage to overcome your problems:)

I hate being in large interactive groups of people (never was this way when I was younger).

I feel 'prickley' when I'm talking one to one or in any kind of intimate situation with people I don't know well.

I cannot believe I'm like this as I grew up really gregarious person. I had a whole big bunch of friends throughout my teens and student years.

Recently I have realised that this is now having a very negative effect on my job and my career propsects. I am closing down in any kind of situation with my peers.

I need help.

I'm bumping this question up because I was thinking about hypnotherapy (and, of course forummed it, as my first port of call)

Anyone know any??
