Really nice stuff but I have totally fallen in love with Cablenet socks (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/PATTcablenet.html), the Serrano cardi (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/PATTserrano.html) and the Ivy wrap top (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/PATTivy.html).

Like all those that you've mentioned, and also Viveka (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/PATTviveka.html).

Wow, that seems to have come around really quickly. Excuse me while I rush off to investigate :D .

I adore the Ivy wrap and Viveka - the neckline is absolutely perfect. The Lizard Ridge (http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/PATTlizardridge.html) throw is glorious, though at 21 skeins of Kureyon, it's a little extravagent. Not entirely sure about Intolerable Cruelty (http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/PATTcruelty.html) though....

I like the skirt, but do wonder how it would wear - my suspicion is that you would end up with a saggy bum skirt before too long!

If I said the skirt wasn't to my taste, I'd be being polite :hihi: . It reminds me of skirts I used to wear in the 80s (as do the shoes), though thankfully I was never daft enough to wear them in knitted fabric. Sit down in that skirt for longer than five minutes and an imprint of the shape of your bum would be permanantly embossed on the fabric. You can see her knickers through it too.

If I had nice pert buttocks then I wouldn't mind my bum imprint being on it! I had fabric skirts like that when I was younger and a skinny wee thing, but I do believe all knitted skirts are A Bad Thing.

I'm guessing that you could just keep tightening the ribbon. Not sure that's the greatest idea though. I love that Lizard Ridge throw, but apart from the cost I'm certain that the short rows would drive me crazy. I'm tempted by the sox on 2 stix (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/PATTsoxon2stix.html) though especially as Jaeger DK is nice yarn and cheap too! (I have slightly overspent recently) :(

Well quite, but I'd rather it didn't retain the imprint once I was up and walking. An extra bottom added by saggy knitted fabric, however pert, is never a good look :hihi: .

Have to agree with you there;)

If you have a very wiggly shimmying booty swaying walk, then the imprint would drop out soon enough ;)

LOL I think I'll leave that particular experiment to a braver knitter than myself. An interesting new yarn-testing angle for the folk at Yarndex to consider though ;) .
