How do you spend your weekends? do you have company? have you lots of friends around you? do you enjoy the two days off or do you dread the aproaching doys off with a great deal of trepidation? and are you glad when it is over and you can get back to work?

Hi Hal,

I'm glad to see you've worked out how to use the new site. To answer your question, I've spent most of this weekend on my own sat in front of the computer. Hopefully tomorrow I will go to the cinema or do something else not related to this forum...

I try to have one of the days on my bike and do between 70 and 100 miles.
Todays a short one about 70 miles but nice and hard.
Ride up Halifax Rd, to Wortley, left down Finkle St take the climb up Green Moor all the way to Penistone which brings me out at Millhouse Green then climb up to Royd Moor were the Wind turbines are, over Crow Edge and take the road to Dunford Bridge and drop into Holmfirth, climb over Holme Moss over Tor side into Glossop, up the Snake pass to Ladybower carry on up to Moscar top and take the left to the Strines and over Bradfield into Dam Flask over to Hillsbrough and home.
Tomorrow I will take the Mountain bike with the tag a long on the back with my 5 year old who does'nt pedal when he should.

Hi CLR.,
Bimey, you must be fit, I love cycling and always have, we have both got big bikes and also two folding bikes to carry in the car boot. I know that road you mention very well and it is beautifull, I always go that way to the highest canal in the country and have been in the tunnel on the boat.

In the old days, I used to cycle to the coast but as father time marched on, I only could manage to get into Derbyshire and as my health deteriorated I had to give it up altogether. However, I still love cycling and we still have all our bikes, so, if I can feel a bit better, we shall go again

When i used to be into cycling, many moons ago. I used to ride up Rivilin Valley Road into Derbyshire and then up Winnits pass to Mam Tor and back. Was a lovely ride. Also, across the Strines is nice. If your into mountain biking there is some good tracks just off past the turn off for the strines.

I usually shop on a Saturday either with my Mum/Boyfriend/Bestmate, read and study. On Sundays I usually go swimming with my family or go on a family walk in the Peak national park :)

I don't know what I'm going to do now though! I've left school and my weekends won't be so much of a treat now! I have so much time on my hands! I need a job!

I imagine Geoff doesn't spend his weekends doing things related to this forum any longer. I spent mine this weekend going between the Hallamshire and Northern General after getting injured at football.

Weekends? Well I get up between 9 and half past Saturday morning, watch TV, get ready and then either Mum or Dad picks me up from the Flat to come to theirs, where I spend the rest of the weekend till I go back to the Flat some time during Monday to go shopping at Tesco.

Woooooooooooo . . . calm down dude. The 'live fast and die young' attitude will catch up with you one day.

;););)

Only joshin. More exciting than mine. Change nappies, watch CBBC, change nappies, lunch, clean up lunch, change nappies, cook tea, clean up, change nappies, drink some wine and talk about how the days nappy changing went, sleep.

Get up, repeat.

Lol, I would if I could... But getting a woman's even harder than getting a job these days! Especially when most of the good ones are either spoken for or there's too big an age gap between us, usually age gap's my way as well, ie I'm too old for her :(

And no, I don't mean kids.

Weekends are usually spent working, drinking, doing some form of exercise and cooking. I enjoy having time away from work to indulge in the things I like. Yes, I try and see friends over the weekend as I tend not to see much of anyone throughout the week.

I see my fella at weekends, so he either comes to Sheffield or I go to Rochdale, friday nights at his we tend to stay in with a DVD and a takeaway, a friday night in Sheffield usually consists of the pub. Saturday nights in Rochdale usually consist of going out with either fellas family, or friends, either into town or just round to one of their houses for a bit of a knees up. If in Sheffield, tend to just have a cozy night in! Sundays are spent walking, shopping, going to the Cinema, eating out and going places like Blackpool, Manchester, Chester Zoo etc. Good times had by all :)

Fridays are usually spent in the house. Saturdays are either down town with the fella, or at his house. Sunday, lie-in, off to his parents' for Sunday lunch. A few hours watching the Sunday film (or whatever), and then he drops me back at mine so I can get ready for work on Monday. I love the weekend!

Working usually, all day both days, with snuggly DVD nights afterwards with OH and a nice dinner!

Was off this weekend and am off next weekend 'cos it's my birthday this week! OH's been away this weekend, so I've spent it visiting my grandma, having girls round, mum round for a cuppa and finishing with the pub last night. I now have a hangover:hihi:

Running a site tends to require alot of online time.

Same for me too. I really need to buy a laptop so at least then I can move to different locations. Stuck in the same room every day at the moment. The actual uploading part is only a fraction of work time, so I don't need to be online all the time.

I'd love to just go out into the peaks and type away whilst overlooking the beautiful scenery that's on our doorstep.

Which laptops are best for battery life?

Apple's are meant to have a good battery, me and a freind went on a long journey and he has an apple and it lasted a good 4 and half hours. and we were on it non stop.

Well Saturday is breakfast day - me and the mrs have it together. I also like to squeeze in a significant amount of sitting as well as 8 pints on a Saturday night and then again at Sunday lunch. I also binge on crisps and chocolate at a weekend! Basically I binge on all the things I like!
