Hi,

Does anybody know if there is a place to park (not pay and display) where I could pay per month or a few months in the City Centre? (Preferably near Devonshire Green).

I've heard there is a place on Trippet Lane next to the Scout shop that is reasonable but I haven't had a chance to check this out yet - does anybody know about this place or how much it is?

I've also heard of a place that used to be the Mercedes Dealers, I'm not from Sheffield but will be moving into the area - does anybody know where this place actually is or how much it would cost?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Mario

There is a place just down the road from the Washington pub where you can rent a space on a monthly basis.

I live on Trippet Lane and one of my neighbours told me they park for about £15 a month in the Scout shop car park, but I don't know about contracts etc - best to go in and ask in the shop, or look up SGS shop in phone book. Hope that helps!

There are one or two places on Fitzwilliam St. (runs past Dev Green) if you drive down you will see their adverts. There is also parking I believe (not completely sure) in the Church Army behind West One.

I know which one you mean, it is about £55-£60 pcm. I think you have to sign for a minimum period of time like 6months or something like that.

Try NCP/Midland Mainline down near the station. We pay £50.00 for a monthly season ticket but thats through our business. Worth a try.

Have a look in the "Property to Let" section of this forum. There is usually parking spaces in the West One car park available for short term let. Usually about £80 - £100 a month I think.

EDIT - Didn't realise this post was 6 years old!

It is secure though (well, unless someone follows you in), you're given a key fob and its 24/7 access. You can get much cheaper, but its generally unsecured with a guy patrolling between 8am and 5pm so it depends how secure you need it.

The place they were talking about above on Fitzwilliam street now charge £85 a month. I wouldn't bother with them though, I rang and politely asked if there was any chance of getting it a bit cheaper as a major local car park (new one on the other side of the moor run by Apcoa) do it for £60 a month. I was rudely told to "go with them then" and had the phone slammed down on me... Must be sour that everyone else is undercutting them or something.

That reminds me, there is a new Q Park currently being built just off West St.
