what roads off middlewood road are like? such as Wynyard Road, Garry Road, Warner Road, Dorothy Road and Lennox Road. There near Hillsborough Park aparantly. What are the transport links like? Is that a good area? thanks

They are tarmac with a white line down the middle i think.

Don't forget the potholes though. No Sheffield road with be complete without them.

The public transport routes round there are probably among the best in Sheffield. You get loads of buses plus the Supertram.

I used to live around that area. The area is really nice, local shops, Hillsborough park, access to supertram and buses on Middlewood road. Think the only problems might be parking as it can get quite crammed on the side roads, especially on match days.

Its a nice area, and shops and take-aways and pubs are all within walking distance. It can get a bit noisy on friday and saturday nights though.

I lived in that area for 20 years, it's very pleasant except for when SWFC are playing at home and the streets fill up with cars. Apart from that, it's a friendly neighbourhood, easy access to shops, pubs, restaurants locally and good bus and tram into town. It's far enough away from Hillsborough Corner to avoid the weekend swillers.

yes I agree, I lived there too for most of my teenage years and loved it, was there yesterday on business, its got everything you need and the locals are friendly, most of the houses on those streets are pretty big inside.

I used to live over the road on hawksley Ave. It was always quiet and friendly...

I live on Dixon road which runs at the bottom of and through Garry road, lennox road and dorothy, i have lived here for 3 years and i think it is a very pleasant area, it is jus out of the main shopping area, this is good as it's just away from all the hustle and bustle but only a 5 minute walk to the shops. There is the main tram route from middlewood to meadowhall and another tram route from actually in hillsborough to malin bridge or halfway, most of the main bus routes run through hillsborough and are very frequent.

we live on wynyard road, (moved from duke street)and apart from swfc home games, no place to park!! its v.nice. 5 min walk to co-op and wilko's and theres plentty of pubs and "food-eries"!! chatanoga do decent pizza's. ask for dean, tell him bp john sent ya!!!!
but apart from that, there is good links into town (but unless you HAVE to go into town everything you need is on the doorstep.
