I went by Tinsley Wire tday and the old signs are gone.
Anyone know why?

i know, i was gutted when i saw them changing the signs
I think it was the only big site around which still had "Company Name - Sheffield" on it..?

Tinsley Wire has been owned by Belgian company Bekaert (sp?) for at least five years. I think they have only just got round to changing the name! :)

So it's now a fencing company?
Anyone know more info on that?

Just to let anybody who's interested, the old Tinsley Wire building on Sheffield Road are due for demolition in the next few mounths. Most of the workers have moved across the cannel to the Shepcote Lane site.

Err yes . Odd thats its been demolished at one time they were looking at major building work on the sheffield road site which would cause the road to be shut/ reduced to one lane

It is however nice to see someone using an old thread and not opening another one

Betafence(Tinsley Wire) is ONLY closing down and SOLD the Sheffield Road site. We have ALL moved to the Shepcote Lane site which is conected via a bridge.
NOT MOVING ANYWHERE ELSE.
