Can anyone remember "Daft Joe" He always used to win the talent contests at the Sicy Hotel and The Warncliffe in the Sixties..His rendering of "Rawhide" was a treat to see and hear, He somtimes did a tap dance as well...I think his name was (Joe Crawley) or somthing like that.

i lived on beavercots road i always thought is name was rawbottam frank s older brother

i certainly do remember daft joe was it him that used to sing mammy the al johnson song. if it is he also used to sing on the black swan on tuesday nights when terry steeples had it. if i remember rightly he was a thinnish man with a bold head and he always sang the same 2 songs. he actually won once or twice, somehow. but still a harmless chap and never hurt anyone.
