Sad to see that Paul Foot has died. A brilliant investigative journalist (we have too few of those already) and an excellent, passionate and compassionate public speaker.
His article's on the sugar industry's manipulation of research into artificial sweetners(Cyclamates) in the late 1960's, the miscarriage of justice in the Carl Bridgewater murder case in the 1970's and a recent expose of the scandal surrounding PFI projects in the NHS in the 2000's, set standards which I suspect we won't see again. These are but the highlights from 4 decades of quality journalism.
