Depends on how busy they get, where they are located.

I've heard of some pubs being charged up to £1500 per month.

There loads of pubs about with out sky to be honest. A lot now have the free view boxes though (like wetherspoons) as i believe this is a way to still get certain channels and they dont have to pay at all, as they are free to air channels
