Here's one for you. When you say "we" or "our" in the context of people that you think of being in your 'in-group', what is the largest scope of your "we". Is it:

Your immediate family (in the same house)
Your extended family (connected by blood)
The city or town in which you live (Sheffield)
Your county (Yorkshire - or even South Yorkshire)
Your party of the country (The North)
Your country (UK - maybe England)
Your ethnic group (Anglo-saxon, Black, Asian etc)
Your religion (Catholic, protestant; Christian, Shia, Sunni; Muslim etc)
The continent you are a part of (Europe)
Your species (Homo Sapiens)
All living things!

I'd like to say homo sapiens and I sometimes do, but I guess really I consider myself to be a European...

I'd say immediate family.

When I say 'we' I usually mean Leicester City, as in 'We are going to stuff the Blades this season'.

Extended Family. However, I don't find that the south uses "our" I.e "our" Millie etc. not as much as the north anyway.

I'll use all of these at one time or another.

I'll also use the term 'we' to include my work colleagues.

Superstars the lot of them
