Try Royce Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We train tonight (Monday) at the Dronfield School 8.15 - 10.00. After several years in martial arts, I started training BJJ last year and have learnt so much in such a short period of time.

Pop along tonight, if you can. We are a really friendly bunch, and have a good mix of abilities.

LankyMan_BJJ, is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu just rolling around on the floor?

BJJ is primarily a ground based fighting system. You will probably start learning, primarily, ground techniques as most injuries occur when you are thrown/ fall badly. Plus most fights end on the ground, (especially if that's where you want to be) so you may as well know how to finish the fight when you get there.

However, our club has a lot of it's students coming from a different martial arts discipline. So we have a lot of experience knocking around! Furthermore, A few of us are competing in an Mixed Martial Arts event this month, so we are of course practicing striking, clinch, takedowns and groundwork.

Tae kwon do at Northfield Jr school, Falcon Rd, Coal Aston - every Mon and Thursday night - run by Akhtars from Rotherham.

try hunter martial arts academy at gladys buxton centre. tues 1930 thurs 1845. covers ju jitsu and kick boxing. there is a website, and free intro classes

sunday morning and the sport centre in dronny, wado ryu karate 9.30-10.00 am or 10.00-12.00 not sure if its just kids...or adults too

Try the Tengu Dojo on Valley road, just off Chesterfield road, Sheffield. Its only a stones throw from Dronfield and its a pretty exciting mix of armed and unarmed Japanese martial arts. Just Google Tengu Dojo sheffield.
