Well I think Norton would win because of his superior fight experience...his record currently stands at 23 wins with 21 k/o's plus he is nearly 6lbs heavier than Woodseats with a longer reach. To be fair to Woodseats he fought well against Beauchief but was suprisingly knocked down in the 2nd round and just scraped a split points decision which doesn't fill the viewing public with confidence in his ability.

No offense, but Norton is full of chavs... At least it was when I used to go to the former Gleadless Valley School up there... Even though I left 12 years ago and the site has been a housing estate for 9 years.

I enjoy living in Woodseats - I think it is a vibrant, diverse community with good shops and facilities. The houses seem to be older than Norton and there is a lot of terraced housing, but generally of a good size. One problem is traffic on the main roads in to / out of town but there is some work being done on this. Norton is quieter and more 'suburban', more semis but less facilities IMHO. Both have good and bad areas so need to be checked out on a case by case basis.

I would say Norton is nicer and has more monkey puzzle trees, but it depends on your circumstances, ie if you are buying or renting. Woodseats is a lot better for public transport and pizzas.

Is that a plus point or a negative for Woodseats?? I'd have thought it was a negative...a dive of a pub full of chavs on most nights

Norton is not full of Chavs, not that I've noticed anyway and I live in Norton lees. I couldn't comment on Gleadless valley school, but by the name, isn't that in Gleadless??

I like both Norton and woodseats. I prefer Norton (Lees) which is why I bought there mainly because it's off the main road, high up so has great views and Meersbrook park is on my doorstep. Transport is great.
Woodseats is lovely too, you do have shops and pubs but I preferred the more suburbia feel of Norton. Woodseats feels more like a little town with its high street.
