Hi can anyone remember the Bar Rio pub:) I use to go there on a friday and saturday nite we use to have a real good time there:hihi: :hihi: dancing away to the Ovaltines song, singing away to ' around the old camp fire':hihi: all good fun.

Was that the Yorkshire Grey across from the Roebuck? Never went in when they changed it to the Bar Rio. But I undrstand the bar staff used to "mince around" the place.

Ovaltinies? I was usually legless by the time i got in there. It was the 9th boozer on our crawl.:D

I remember when it got closed down because of all the fighting, they opened it for one more night and said if theres one more fight then thats it, its gone for good.
We were watching for idiots starting and eventhally they did and that was that, they closed the place for good.
We got the grinning chits a few nights later and hammered them.
That was a good pub but the idiots spoiled it.
