There will be a spinning demonstration at the Cromford Heritage Weekend on the 9-10th September by the Arkwright Spinsters.
As well as a spinning demonstration, there will be a wheel for members of the public to have a go. Also drop spindles, lucets, hand carding, possibly a peg loom and a small rigid heddle loom if they have the space. Also possibly an antique sock knitting machine.
There may be some handspun knitting wool for sale and various items made from the wool.
The event will be on the ground floor of the Gothic Wharf building on the end of the canal.
