I am speccing a system based around an AMD Athlon X2 4600+ 65w CPU, which has a FSB of 2000MHz. Can anyone tell me what frequency DDR2 memory I can use. Thanks.

Partly helpful Savannah. But it doesn't state what the minimun frequency is I can use - that is if there is a minimum.

Thabnks anyway :)

Well, Mesh Computers use 533MHz in their 4600+ systems, so I'll go with that.

it depends, if its Socket 939, you will have trouble using DDR2, as I dont think there are any DDR2, Socket 939 motherboards, so your looking PC3200 (400mhz) -- Unless you go for the AM2 socket, then you should see what the board supports/reccomends, the majority are 533Mhz, however there are higher supported ones, just depends how much your spending..

Am using an Asus M2NSLI Deluxe AM2 mobo.

Having a guess that with the Asus board board will take upto DDR2 800 MHZ.
I'm using an ABIT FATAL1TY AA8XE , with 2 GIG of 533MHZ. Will take 667MHZ.

I would love to use 800MHz, but have you seen the price of it!

2Gb (matched pair) of 800Mhz DDR2 branded memory should cost approximatly the same as your processor, worth the cost if you are going down the X2 route.
