Hello,
Can anyone recommend a good "man and van" type service in Sheffield? I don't have that much stuff to move ( the only big items being a sofa and my bed ).
I did try and search for 'man and van' before posting this, but van is apparently too short!

I can recommend someone who covers the south side of Sheffield (lives in Eckington I think) who I have used a couple of times.
He has a large Transit and charges (IIRC) £12 for the 1st hour and then pro-rata for any time after that.
If you are in this area, drop me a message and I will PM you his tel. number

No need to be rude pacman, i was only tryin' to help as you said that you searched before posting your thread.
i was suggesting the sheffield star as it has man/van ads within.

Thats the trouble with t'internet and forums. People type as they think and 9 times out 10, one liners come out as sarcastic.
Your response, although genuine, was too short and abrupt to be taken as anything other than sarcastic.
"I cant recommend anyone personally but I have noticed that you can sometimes find people advertising "man & van" in the Sheffield Star, maybe you could try there."
See the difference? A lot more personable and friendly and not at all phrased as to be taken in the wrong context IMO.
Now if all "one-line wonders" were to follow the same line of reasoning then forums all over the world would be a safer, friendlier place.
Pacman - not sure if you've found anyone yet, if not it might be worth trying one of the rental companies. If you're only wanting a van for a couple of hours, this can sometimes work out roughly a similar price.
