just got somebody in chat to download and install firefox, cos of the IE / java chat bug

they said their computer went all funny
everything locked up???
they did a system restore to get it back ok

seems very strange, never heard anything about firefox b0rking somebodys puter??

anybody got any ideas?

Did they have any running applications? possible corrupt install, I would suggest having another go, shut down all applications and reinstall.
Hope that works for them.

Did they install Firefox whilst still in the chatroom in IE? Maybe Java got its knickers in a twist?
