I've just watched as the cyclists have gone down Ecclesall Rd towards Banner Cross and I have to say, quite how no one was knocked off their bike by either one of the hundreds of motor bikes or support vehicles, or one of any number of random cars that obviously knew nothing about the race and just pulled out onto Ecclesall Rd, is beyond me.

Still, if anyone else is intending to catch the finish in town at any time now, I wouldn't bother, it was about as interesting as cricket.

I have to agree there. I work on Cross Burgess Street and it happens to be right by the PA system and the music and commentary is so loud we can hardly hear ourselves!!

Although will have dispute the cricket comment (cricket is good!!):)

The city-centre traffic is pretty bad today. Even at 10am this morning I got a taxi from Sharrow to West Bar and we were gridlocked for a while. I was in the centre about half an hour ago and traffic is quite bad on Tenter Street and Rockingham Street. I remember that it was the same for the cycle race last year too.
