View Full Version : Thieving little swines in action around Sheffield!!!
Minesadouble 30-08-2006, 12:54 There seems to be a spurt of Burglaries in the S12 area .... Just to warn people (your prob thinking yeh and) ..... but no matter how small you think your windows are ....ie. maybe you think only Barbie or Action Man can fit through them Please please do NOT leave any open .... Not happened to me personally but to family members and friends.
Lets NOT give them an easy ride please
Should suppose this thread should include all areas not just S12 ...
Whatever you'v worked hard for over many years
Don't let them get at it  thieving *****
Creepers there called and are doing it while your in bed (scary thought) but they have NO MORALS or respect for anything or anyone.

This post makes perfect sense to me.
It's about thieving little gits who are small enough to get through the smallest windows .... so Minesadouble is helpfully warning the rest of us about it and advising us not to be complacent.
kittenta 30-08-2006, 15:10 Makes sense to me too! I always shut my windows, even the smallest one when I go out (even for ten minutes) and before I go to bed. I even close the windows at the front ofthe house and bolt up the front door if i'm on the backyard. Not sure whether i'm wise or paranoid
thanks for lettin us know:thumbsup:
Minesadouble 30-08-2006, 15:46 Thanks everyone x That is exactly what i am doing ...
Just letting people know
The less peeps who suffer a burglary, the better in my eyes
apart from you miniminch..:loopy:

Hi,
Sorry to hear about the burglary. I live in S12 and I too was burgled 2 weeks ago. Same thing, we were in bed and they forced a window.
Thieving scum aren,t fit to live. Police who attended said even if they were caught the courts go lightly on them.
Work hard to get on and the lowlife think they can just take what,s yours.
I just hope someone catches them in the act and breaks their neck.
flashbang 30-08-2006, 16:03 Welcome to the Forum Minesadouble, and also thanks for the warning it is much appreciated.

Is it me, I can't understand a word this person is saying. I have been a bit stressed of late and I stop understanding people on the fringes of society when that occurs.

I dont because then the houseowner will potentially get a jail term whilst the liitle gits get a slap on the wrist.
can i ask what part of s12 these burglaries are happening?
Minesadouble 30-08-2006, 18:30 I dont because then the houseowner will potentially get a jail term whilst the liitle gits get a slap on the wrist.

fair enough if they do I guess! But more likely someone will react in the heat of the moment surely and when they realise the consequences will have regrets they were not more restrained?
Camrat78 30-08-2006, 19:40 My folks live in Intake so I'll warn them, not heard of anything in Frecheville have you?
By the way, I can understand you perfectly minesadouble, thanks for the warning.

I understand your comment totally
However with 2 little ones in our house - I'd feel an intruder was a threat to them more than me - Hopefully could keep a cool head knock them unconcious and push them out of the upstairs window only with a little force:hihi:
ooops sorry officer they must have fell off the drainpipe lol
My parents are in Hollybank, three nights ago my dad was up late when he heard someone try the back door handle, he shot up and ran outside, said he saw someone jump the garden wall. bit scary really, cos the lights were on. what would the scroat have done if the door was unlocked?

bluesandtwos 30-08-2006, 21:03 Nearly always sleep with windows open, but a long way from S12 and good luck to anyone attempting to enter our house, it has 6 siberian huskies sleeping in it:hihi:
This happened to my mother in law 3 weeks ago she lives at Halfway they got in by taking the small top bathroom window out luckily she did not wake up hate to think of what they'd have done to an 80 yr old if she had.

I may be asking to borrow one if this continues! :hihi:
kittencapes 31-08-2006, 08:17 My house got burgled four times when I was at uni living in s10 crookes, in total they had 3 laptops and loadsa more things, the police came and took reports they even found one laptop in the thieves house!they said its a nightmare for them cus when they caught the guy he is basically told off by the courts and then set free to carry on doing what hes doing! i even had a metal cage on my window to secure it but they got that off as well...being students its not like we can afford to give our stuff to thieves and lose our uni work on laptops!
surely everyone int he 21st century has security devices fitted to doors & windows.(i'll probably get burgled now for making sarcastic comments on here)
if you're having upvc windows get claw hook fasteners & internal beading.
if u have old style windows withe the little lever with holes in - get some locks from Wilkos.£5 secures your house. if you use them when fitted.
if you have a porch - fit a starlock to the internal door.
little things do help.
kittencapes 31-08-2006, 08:55 clearly words from someone who has never been burgled! i had a double glazed window and metal bars on my window and the swines got them off! they broke one of the internal doors off its hinges as well. these people mean business!
if they intend on getting in they will.
but the op was on about "creepers" who stealthily slide in through small open windows. not professional criminals who are out to score regardless.
no one is safe from those people.and yes i've been burgled twice.
pertfoxylush 31-08-2006, 09:09 Which are of S12 was it pls?
Minesadouble 31-08-2006, 10:24 It was Intake .
Been over the last few weeks .
Willman is right - If they wanna get in they will - and I'm sure many people have security/alarms but get a little lax sometimes in putting them on - It's also easy to leave a window open when it's hot - Or forget to close one .
The people I know who were 'done' so to speak, left very small windows open assuming 'no-one could possibly fit through it'.
And they did - The post was just for the few or many people who also got to bed thinking the same.
:(
MonkeyLover 31-08-2006, 22:54 my friend lives at S12, Hackenthorpe, and she was burgled a few weeks ago. The scroats took her handbag, complete with all contents, including the car keys - then took the car off the drive. It was only 3 months old - worth about £18.000

It is just you and being stressed is no excuse not to give people a warm welcome...it seems you are the one on the finge of society for we all understood perfectly well.
I suggest you go find something constructive to do.
