Hi all,
My lovely bunny buddy Vincent arrived a couple of weeks ago  He's absolutely gorgeous and he's settled in just fine, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for things he could play with when he's out of his cage and having free run of this place!
So far I've given him the inner tubes from toilet rolls - he loves throwing those about - and I've also tried tearing a small hole in the side of an up-turned cardboard box and hiding some tasty dandelions inside (less successful - even now he seems convinced that I am hiding these tasty treats under my laptop :P).
I don't want him to get bored with the same things though - any other ideas for bunny toys I could try?

Give him bits of wood to chew on, these will cure the boredom as well as keeping his teeth short.
Also, you fill a cardboard box with either hay or ripped up newspaper, and if he's anything like Bobby, he'll stick his head in there are have a good around, throwing newspaper and hay around the room and making a good old mess.
:hihi: :hihi:

A mate of mine gave hers a blown up balloon tied to a wooden peg, she played with it while she was at work. I dont know how many she popped before she just played with the peg though.
Just an idea
Thanks for the suggestions! Maybe filling a box with hay will interest Vince a bit more than the empty box and dandelions I tried then... he's pretty much ignored the box all evening and seems happy just rubbing his chin on my feet! :P He does like making a mess though - he has a litter tray that he uses, but also likes to throw all of the straw out of!
The balloon idea could be worth a try too, but I'll probably give it a while until I test that out - he's still nervous if he hears a car door slam outside or even if I stand up too quickly, so I'll wait until he's a little braver, in case it goes pop! :)
EDIT: now he's licking my hand - does my rabbit think he's a dog?? :P

The best thing we've bought for our house rabbit was a metal cage-ball which you can stuff veg into. The fact that it aint an easy task to get the food drives him mad and keeps him entertained for hours. We even know when he wants grub, coz he throws it around.
Bonus!
We got it from pet world down on queens road headed out of sheffield on the right.
