My baby rabbit (Ollie) died last night in my arms.
She was only 24 weeks old. We went to check on her about 7pm and she was not moving but breathing. We brought her in and covered her up and tried to give her water. About an hour later she rolled on her side and started to fit then took a few deep breaths and passed.
Im so upset, did not have her than long but she became a part of the family.
We have no idea what caused her to die at such a young age.
Dont want to put a downer on anyone but just needed to share my sad news.
I'm so sorry to hear about your news kate55. It must have been a big shock for you- especially as she was so young. There's no way of making this any easier, but if she died so suddenly I'm sure that there would have been nothing you could have dine even if you'd got to her earlier.
Remember her with fondness and love, not how she was last night.

This has happened to me once too. I'm really sorry, it's an awful thing to happen, just try and remember the joy you've had from her.
Yes I know you all right.
I just feel as though I did not have enough time to give her a good life and all the love I have for her.
Some say its only a rabbit but she was a part of the family and to watch her die and not be able to do anything was heartbreaking.
So sorry to hear this Kate55 :(
Can't offer you anything but my sympathy.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have rabbits myself and i dread the day when i have to say goodbye to them. All you can do is remember the good times. I am sure he enjoyed his short life and at the end of the day thats what matters.
All my sympathy X

Thats so terrible.
I agree that all you can do is remember the good times with happiness.
At least your bunny didn't suffer.
Sorry for your loss.
I found a website for grieving pet owners, it may help you to come to terms with what happened. Its a place for owners to post memoirs about there pets and it can be quite comforting to know you are not alone. I strongly recommend that you take a look, address is www.rainbowsbridge.com.
Hope it helps.
