I did, and I didn't think it was as good as other years. I live at the side of the park it takes place in.
Rumpus, who I think are one of the best bands in Sheffield played and the sound was rubbish.
And who ever let the American bloke near the mic again after last year needs their head looking at.
Sheffield Live were trying to broadcast and I'm sure all you could hear was the bloke shouting into the mic. The PA he was using was louder the the one at the bands stage.

I went to the festival, and stayed until about five o'clock.

I had a good time having a pyke at all the different stalls, noseying at what they had to offer

Shaan Takeaway did some of the catering on the upper field, again this year, and as usual, their Lentil Daal and rice was delicious, as were the onion bhajias, one of which I had, with that lovely yogurt-y minty sauce. MMM!!!!!

later I treated myself to a cor-on -the-cob, barbecued, from Grants' food pitch.

there was a young woman teaching traditional handicrafts on the lower field, such as knitting and weaving; I learnt how to make a peg-rug. (which i am enjoying doing)

The great thing about the festival is that it brings the community together, and gives the members a sense of being allied in building up the community. the togetherness was excellent

All races, all abilities, (mental and physical) and religions, all different political colours were represented there, and the vibrancy and diversity of Sharrow was fantastic to see.

This district is so great; it is like a mini-cosmos :) it is a really ace place to live.

I agree with you about living in Sharrow. I was born on Vincent Road and I still live on there now. It has it's problems like many other areas but there is so much positive stuff happening around the area.

I agree, i think the Sharrow Festival is a great display of British culture and heritage, with all the community coming together. This is the sort of thing there should be more of in this country. :D

I would like to see the festival happening a couple of times a year, but i am sure that the organisers would likethings to be not so hectic for tem...?

what age are you, carcrash? I moved to sharrow 30 yrs ago, in january 74, and went to sharrow lane school.

I moved back to sharrow, in 1993, when I got married, and I moved back here fourteen months ago.

it's a district I feel safe in, usually. I do not worry about trundling about the district on my chariot. I have lots of friends round here, from all different races, faiths, and what-have you, and I love it the colour, thae diverrsity is just stunning.
