Hi guys i am about to quit my job and need help with a resignation letter. I aint ever written one, anyone got any ideas?

Basically never say anything that will anger, irritate or libel anyone. :)

You may feel that you're never going to have to deal with the company again, but you'd be surprised how often people will turn up again in your life.

Be polite, don't feel that you have to explain why - you'll probably get an exit interview, anyway. Explain that you'll work your notice period, and give your notice accordingly - e.g. if you have to give a month's notice, date your actual leaving date as a month from the date of your letter.

Be professional about it - it will reflect well on you. Good Luck!

it depends whether you want your employer to know why you are leaving.Basically all that is needed is the date that you wish to leave,taking into account how much notice is required.Some employers conduct 'exit' interviews,which will give you an oppertunity to give reasons why you are leaving.Other than date and signature,i think that's all that's required :)

Nice! A pseudonym! Then the boss has no idea who it is! And if said resignee does not wish to discuss the reasons, why put it in the letter? Apart from that, it’s almost okay.
