View Full Version : What's your favourite brand of crisps? duffman 12-07-2004, 08:09 What brand of crisps do you go for and what is your favourite flavour? Mine has to be a packet of Beef flavoured Mcoys. Wavey 12-07-2004, 08:17 Seabrooks ("with sea salt") kick ass for the lord not too much flavour and not too greasy. Cheese & Onion mmmmMMMMm m WORST CRISPS My son loves Pickled Onion Monster Munch.. usually in the car too!! They're like battery acid.. instant heart burn guaranteed. tinajones 12-07-2004, 08:47 Sabritas! Lime flavoured - got them in Mexico and am dying to have them again but am unable to find out how other than going back to Mehiho! march 12-07-2004, 09:47 Seabrook for me, allways like looking on the back of the packet to see ingredients of potato and salt, none of the stupid flavour enhancers and other rubbish you usually find. Carmine 12-07-2004, 10:22 Seabrook's again! Always takes me back to the times when I was a kid and my parents took me across the road to the Hollybush pub on a chilly autumn night... ToryCynic 12-07-2004, 11:26 McCoys - Cheese and Onion; would have voted Seabrook, but you can't get them down here - no joke! Morrisons stocked them a couple of times and that was it. No other suprmarket even bothered. Alex Lou 12-07-2004, 11:29 Salt and Vinegar Mcoys for me. Hmm mmm. royjames 12-07-2004, 11:30 Mine is walkers beef and oniun but by the look of the poll seabrookes seem to be the winners. Trouble is I have never heard of this name, has it being going long? HotPhil 12-07-2004, 11:34 Why no Golden Wonder? At least they're potatoes look a bit more natural than Walker's (which in my opinion just look synthetic - constant striving to make each crisp identical leaves awful tasting crisps) ToryCynic 12-07-2004, 11:45 Originally posted by royjames Mine is walkers beef and oniun but by the look of the poll seabrookes seem to be the winners. Trouble is I have never heard of this name, has it being going long? I first noticed them around 2002/03. But they onlu hit our shelves about twice and never seen the since. They're based up in Scarborough. Alex royjames 12-07-2004, 11:46 Cheers for the info. Lestat 12-07-2004, 12:50 Seabrook's - Just normal, tasty crisps. :) Mosherchik 12-07-2004, 13:08 Mmmmm walkers sensations    the sweet thai chilli ones and the peking rib and five spice poppadom type things yum :P why no pringles???? :D Cols 12-07-2004, 15:07 Seabrooks again - based in Bradford, not Scarborough. Like previous post says, not full of chemicals. A.B.Yaffle 12-07-2004, 15:30 I like the new mediteranean range of walkers crisps. My fiancee's fave crisps are Brannigans Beef and Mustard... but the only place we have found that sells them is the post office on west street! beckb 12-07-2004, 15:40 Originally posted by royjames Mine is walkers beef and oniun but by the look of the poll seabrookes seem to be the winners. SpiderPete 10-11-2005, 20:18 I have ticked "other" as I eat Morrisons low fat crisps. pete_fcs 10-11-2005, 20:21 Originally posted by royjames Mine is walkers beef and oniun but by the look of the poll seabrookes seem to be the winners. Trouble is I have never heard of this name, has it being going long? they only seem to crop up in posh places like fulwood co-op, where i travel eight miles to to fetch! samc 10-11-2005, 20:21 Seabrooks. Reminds me of going watch my Uncle play non-league football matches and as a treat we'd get a pack of Seabrooks and a bottle of Dandylion'n'Burdock at half time. limpetboy 10-11-2005, 20:22 McCoys Flame Grilled Steak, goes perfectly with the Fruit Salads from Sainsubry at lunch time. For some reason. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Ally68 10-11-2005, 20:25 Has to be seabrooks  Englishlady 11-11-2005, 06:42 Got to be the crips they sell in Waterstones cafe, not sure of the brand but they're like Kettle chips and the sea salt and balsamic vinegar are the best:clap: But they are closely followed by M&S salt and black pepper crisps:D Ann* 11-11-2005, 06:56 Has to be Pringles ~ sour cream and chive or cream cheese and onion flavours, although practically any flavour of Pringles is moreish......yum:thumbsup: buxomhussy 11-11-2005, 09:22 Seabrooks Canadian Ham for me. I'm sure they put heroin in them - sooo moreish :D chickmonk 11-11-2005, 09:27 Nobby's Salt and Vinegar - yum yum! DragonofAna 11-11-2005, 09:29 If you ever go camping and need to start a really good campfire then take with you a few bags of crisps. Pringles and doritos both go up like a house on fire and burn for quite a long time, but be careful of the dripping plastic effect. That stuff burns and burns. Walkers and the other brand names burn really fiercely but do not last long. Shop brands tend to burn really crap - soggy crisps - but once they get going they burn for ages. What's all that got to do with anything? Imagine what you are putting into your stomach. I'll stick with chocolate thanks. Dragon Lickable 11-11-2005, 09:45 This poll made me do a bit of research into who actually makes my favorate... Pringles... right... are made by... Proctor and Gamble :gag: DragonofAna 11-11-2005, 09:46 P&G - are they the ones who allegedly still experiment on animals and then kill them? Boycot pringles. Dragon HotPhil 11-11-2005, 09:59 IMO nothing wrong with animal testing, I'd happily boycott Pringles on the grounds that they're reformed rubbish rather than a true crisp. DragonofAna 11-11-2005, 10:03 Reckon the fire brigade ought to take special precautions when attending fires where crisps may be involved. They always ask if there are solvents or chemicals in the building but never - "How many bags of crisps do you have in there?" Was experimenting and some burning yuk dripped from a pringle I was burning. That stuff is worse than napalm. Even when the flame goes out the stuff carries on melting its way through anything it comes into contact with. And I heard once that you are supposed to eat crisps. Not likely! Dragon MeGe 11-11-2005, 10:28 I never really liked crisps, but since recently I have something for walkers, vinegar flavour ... scout 12-11-2005, 15:44 Seabrooks every time! |
