I went to Bury market this weekend which is apparently the biggest market in the UK or something to that effect. I only went because my dad and step mum have their own stall there and I wanted to visit them....but ohmygod I found the best cheap yarn stall ever! I couldn't wipe the smile from my face! I got 1300g (http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l235/gempud/DSCF0013.jpg) of yarn for £10.20. Granted, it's not super duper designer branded yarn but it'll do!
The one I am most impressed with is a 500g (http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l235/gempud/DSCF0014.jpg)bag of Stylecraft Carousel for £3!!! It's a deep pink colour with a tiny black strand twisted around it. I checked it out on the internet and it retailes at £1.70 a 50g ball so I'm sending my dad to get way more. No idea what to make with it though.
The other good buy was Inca (http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l235/gempud/DSCF0016.jpg) Natural something or other at 80p per 100g ball. It's not a colour I would usually go for but the woman had a knitted baby cardigan in the yarn and it looks gorgeous when knitted up.
Hhmmmm, I'm supposed to be using my yarn stash up - not adding to it!
