Does any one else maintain a blog? I had one I made myself, but recently decided it wasn't advanced enough so, rather than do some hard work, I downloaded some free stuff. (Like the code for this site!)

My blog is at http://blog.zinkweb.co.uk/, where's yours?

What's a blog?

A blog is a web log, and is usually a cross between an online journal and comments on news stories or anything else you might want to put down. Have a look at http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog for more. http://blo.gs/ and http://www.weblogs.com/ will help you guage how popular they are.

I've got one. Mine is just a diary with the occasional rant about whatever's going on. Been filling it in pretty much daily since August 2003.

I think the best thing about it is using it for reference, because my memory is so bad, like recently my iPod went 'on the fritz', so I search on iPod, and there it was.

I love the idea of keeping a diary though. The annoying thing used to be typing a huge entry, only to have the website refuse it, so these days I do everything in Word and paste it across.

I maintain one but not terribly actively!

Use it as a place to put samples of my writing, my CV, stuff like that.

Yeah - very overpriced is vBulletin, better with invision or phpBB now-a-days (both free)!

www.20six.co.uk is free, up to a point. I've got a year's worth of entries, with pictures... Still free.

I just wondered if anyone else on here keeps a blog nowadays?

I update mine every so often but I plan to do it more.

Post up your blog, maybe we could create some form of 'blog-ring' linking all the bloggers in Sheffield together.

There was a list started here too:

I have one at www.eggsareevil.com. No particular theme to it really, just a way of letting friends/family know what I'm up to.

Here's mine

http://meroveus.livejournal.com/

It mostly contans details of the duelling society I help run.

I think Livejournal is definately one of the better ones, as it allows for friends filters and communities like this one:
