Sheffnewb 24-08-2006, 11:45 Does nobody know of a decent Physio? amber181 24-08-2006, 11:55 I went to one on Abbeydale Road recently - 919 Abbeydale Road. 0114-250 1162. I saw John (can't remember his second name). Although he didn't solve my problems (need an operation), but he seemed pretty good. His massage technique was very thorough - i had bruises for days to prove it! DaFoot 24-08-2006, 11:55 I will be looking into this before long for a few of my old war wounds....I'll try to remember to comment here after a few sessions. I'm a personal trainer & I've used them several times. Excellent. CHAIRBOY 02-09-2006, 21:21 I attend Hallamshire Physiotherapy at 2 Newbould Lane, they have a website, and I go every week for neuro-physio. I have seen an England footballer there so I think there are physios who specialise in sporting injuries. Only too happy to recommend them on evidence of my treatment. 2671223. Tartempion 02-09-2006, 21:52 I saw someone at the Sheffield Centre of Sports Medicine in Broomhill who was really good. It wasn't cheap though ...but then I don't think physio ever is. The phone number's 2678889. Sorry I can't remember the guy's name - It might have been Derek but I'm not sure. I just rang up and explained the problem and they set up an appointment for me. They're registered with the health professions council. tas1 04-09-2006, 14:28 Can recommend "The physios" in Broomhill. Very good! Also would recommend visiting your doctors and asking them to recommend someone, as they may no someone who specialize. Some physios are really good for neck etc.... some for sports problems. I have my first appt with 'The White House (http://www.whitehouse-clinic.co.uk/)' tonight. I'll get back to you tomorrow. tas1 05-09-2006, 09:39 Good luck! Did some pilates there but no idea what the physio's are like. Be prepared to hurt a fair bit after - a trip out to the three merry lads might help with that ;-) |
