Anyone got any idea where I could take an 8ft high ficus plant to be lovingly looked after for five weeks while I go abroad? I won't have a flat during this time, so I can't even ask people to come and water it and I don't know anyone with enough space to llok after it...
Any ideas anyone or a plant sitting service?!
Ask the Botanical Gardens?
It may survive outdoors.
There's room in my yard.

well, i'm new to this whole plant thing, having just got our own flat i have nicely arranged a few pot plants outside.. does this plant have to go inside? does it need a lot of looking after or just watering? and for a plant that high do you think i'd need to ask the landlord? Depending on the level of care you require, i'd give it a go, but you might be better off going with proffessionals!

I'd help you out, but I really don't want to. You see, I'm going through this horrible 'can't be bothered' phase just lately and looking after plants is not high on my agenda, unfortunately.
As I said: I'd dearly love to help out, but just don't possess the drive or desire at the moment.
Tell you what - try me again next year. I might feel more positive.
Incidentally, I got my wife to type this post out for me to save me all the hassle.
