i love creepy films. i have seen a lot. might have missed some good ones though. anyone care to recommend some?

By creepy do you mean like ghost stories ?

If you do, the remake of The Amittyville Horror is good, as is The Grudge

not really a creepy film but creepy in the sense that it's one of those things that MIGHT JUST HAPPEN! - noone famous in it, weird thing was, i was taping one film on video and this film just came on after it, it was about a couple in america who stop off at a service station/roadside diner, wife goes to the toilet...and disappers - poor paranoid husbane - noone helps him and everyone in there acts as if they never saw the wife - clever little film - the mega annoying thing is that video ran out with about 20 mins left .... so never got to see end........aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh

Anything that makes the skin crawl.

Watched one last night called Wilderness best film I have seen in a long time. If you like a good story with plenty of gore then you have to see it.:thumbsup:

Did you see The Exorcism of Emily Rose? I was moderately impressed with it. Hostel is a lot of fun.

I prefer the older stuff, like Zombie Flesh Eaters, Evil Dead (the second one is pure legend) and the low-budget oddities like Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.

'Creepiest' film I've ever seen is the original Dutch/French version of 'The Vanishing' - that's really f***ed up... great.

keep an eye out for the tommyknockers, IT or misery.
All stephen king films, and pure genious. Just finished watching IT again. best way to spend a day off.

Me too, it said it was uncut, but hardly aything happened, there was the drill, the achiles tendons, the chainsawed fingers, the eyeball bit and that was about it for gore. Did you see more ?

I want to see the vanishing. i've heard only good things about it. I really want to know what happens at the end. Everyone goes on about how the ending is proper evil. What happens? I don't mind spoilers.

I don't want to spoil it - basically the whole film hangs on the ending. Don't watch the Hollywood remake, though, it's a right load of old t0ss.

The version of Hostel I saw was the American Director's Cut - a *ahem* friend of mine downloaded it off the net, so it might have been slightly different to the version you saw, nick2. I can't remember too many exact details, but I remember laughing quite a lot throughout.

Yeah Audition's a mind-blower. Did you see The Happiness of the Katakuris, also by Miike?

Irreversible I'm still undecided about - a bit of a tooth-puller that one. (meaning that's what it's like to watch)

One of the scariest films ive seen is 28 days later, i'm not easily scared but this terrified me, along with the Blair Witch too!! i cant watch that film even now.

try and see Wolf Creek. it's about 3 backpackers in the australian outback who come a cropper.

That's The Vanishing isn't it? Few others mentioned this. Yes the original is really good. As far as i remember it ends in the same way as the others... put it this way, I'm being cremated!

Creepiest film is that old 70's Black Christmas... the girl in the plastic bag is awful. There was a film out recently called this.. was it a remake?

There is another good film i so but cant remember wot it was called.i think it was a french film about a couple of female students that went to stay with one of thier familys on a farm and things go a bit wrong from there.I think it was quit recent and its more of slasher than creepy but still decent.does anyone have any ideas wot it is called?
