View Full Version : Hidden/elusive but well known Forummers
the-lioness 21-08-2006, 12:22 I have noticed summat about this forum...
There are most people on here that have an average number of posts but can easily be found on the "members online" section alot throughout the day like me -i am on at work. There are also a few members who make ALOT of posts but never seem to be logged on - WHY IS THIS?!!!!! Do they try and hide or something - do they log on and off every minute? Please let me know if you are one of these people or if u know of any :D :D :D
muddycoffee 21-08-2006, 12:26 Well speaking for myself, I have set my preferences to recieve email notification replies to threads I have posted on, which means I often read replies on the email, and only actually log on when I want to reply myself
One of them people is me, just cos i dont like people seeing what im up to..
You can set your profile so that you're 'invisible'. Quite a few people I know do this to retain some privacy when they're online.
I usually choose not to, because I think it's useful for people to see when there's a Mod. around - for good and bad things. ;)
I'm one of the ones who logs on at work, and has a disgustingly low post count for the time I've been on.
I know of one user who has been on here a year less than me, yet still has more posts than I do. Maybe I just don't have enough opinions on things. Or maybe I should spend more time in the I'm Bored section.
I'm often showing as online when I'm not here - I just sometimes leave it logged in and forget...
I'm logged on permanantly both at home at work. The forum stays minimized whilst I do other things.
Met a couple of "Lurkers" last night, people who are registered but never post.
the-lioness 21-08-2006, 13:14 Haha Andy! - I once stayed logged on by accident all wknd - my gawd people must have thought I was a right wierdo!!
I don't have a problem with people knowing what my internet activities are - well except my boss.
Off topic DR, but who's the bloke in your new avatar?
EDIT: read your sig and think I may have worked it out for myself.

I watched Coach Carter at the weekend and I have honestly never seen such a perfect male - I was speechless for the entire film and am considering going to America to find him :hihi:

He does look good in that film, alas, he's usually not that hot.

(I blame hair, it realy doesn't suit some people)
I'm normally logged on because my pc is on 24/7 and I just keep windows open to keep checking as I pass through the room. So, although I might look like I'm here at all times, I'm not :)
