What was the first record shop in Sheffield and the others that followed it?

I always remember the first Virgin record shop being on the moor was a rite hippy place 8)

My first single i bought was My Blue Sky by ELO

Bradleys used to have 3 or 4 places

Record Collector was/is good for obscure stuff

The first record shop in Sheffield might have been Wilson & Peck, no longer exists of course but it used to be on the corner of Barkers Pool and Leopold Street, I think, not only sold records but also musical instruments.

My earliest recollection of a record shop was Canns which was based
at the top of Dixon Lane in Waingate.
Wilson Pecks was famous not only for records but sheet music too.
For second hand records you went to a scruffy shop on Cricket Inn Rd
near the Park Square roundabout - called Violet Mays.
The shop later moved to premises at the back of Woolworths at Moorhead.

There was Cann the music man on chapel walk about halfway up.
