Before I post anything, I don't want to spoil this film for anyone as I really enjoyed it and don't want to turn this into a "Bruce Willis is a ghost" post for those people who haven't seen it.

Hence the crypticness of my comments - only to be understood by those that have seen it.

Can someone explain to my tiny eyes what exactly happened at the end? I've watched it twice now and I'm sort of aware but not fully.... were the beginning scenes flash forwards? Did Dalton not get away with it? What part did Frazier play? Had he set it up? And why did he give Foster the card? What was she meant to do with it?

I feel very silly to be asking this but I really enjoyed it but didn't quite understand it!

Feel free to PM me with your film by numbers explanation!

Edna,

Remember in the begining they were digging? well they built a wall inside the sore cupboard and the main guy hid in there so when they searched the place he wasn't there and the others got away because they thought they were other hostages.

Denzel Washington goes to the bank one last time and the main robber just walks past him and without him realising he drops a diamond in his pocket for an engagment ring for his other half!

thats all i can remeber but he was right when he told Denzel "I'll walk out the front door"

Seeing as we're discussing this....(and yes, I know it's entertainment)....does anyone else have a problem with the plausibility of the whole thing? I maintain that, even tho' they were covered in overalls and ?blindfolded (I forget the detail) during their ordeal, the 'real' hostages would have been been able to recreate their exact sitting positions in each room, and know who had been next to them for the hours in which they were thrown together. Thus, a simple re-creation of the different rooms would very quickly have shown which 'hostages' (when they were released) were in fact, baddies.

Yes? No? :)

No.... They kept moving them around.

No.... They kept moving them around.

But even then, people would have bonded and recognised each other's body language, perfume/aftershave/general scent, the sound of the voice. Could the eyes been seen? I can't remember if they were blindfolded. They were able to talk to each other, weren't they? The terrorists weren't in every room with them, preventing communication all the time (unless I've misremembered, which isn't unlikely!). Each individual would have known where he or she sat in any particular room, even if they were being moved around. It wouldn't have taken much re-creating to work out that a terrorist trying to slot themselves into a space that they hadn't actually occupied during the crisis was an imposter.

IMO. :)

They could have just checked the security camera's and ticked off the list of 'terrorists' anyone that was in the bank before the camera's were turned off.

Simple!
