I started the week as an Ebay virgin - not any more! I'm well and truly hooked. As well as the Kidsilk Haze I've already mentioned, I've managed to snag loads of embroidery wool and cotton which is going to come in very useful for the college courses. I've just won over a 120 new skeins of DMC six-stranded cotton for less than £12. Given that it would have set me back between £60 and £70 in the shops, I'm a happy bunny :) .

Anyone else had any other knitty/craft-related Ebay bargains?

The yarn for both Samus and Rogue came from there and considering its Rowan Im going to have done both for under £30:D I use EBay quite a bit and never had a problem really.

Now that is a bargain :D .

I'm considering taking the laptop with me at the weekend and hope I can find a wireless hot spot. I wouldn't want to miss any yarn-related bargains... ;) :hihi: .

I'm tempted, actually. I sold loads of text books on Amazon last year and was really surprised by how much I made. I haven't investigated selling on Ebay, though I've heard that there are quite a few fees of various descriptions.

Ah then you are ahead of me then! I keep thinking about selling stuff.. just not got the courage up yet (or got organised!).

I was rather dubious about the process at first and rather paranoid that most potential buyers would be out to pull a fast one. I didn't have a problem at all though. All payments are made through Amazon itself (as opposed to PayPal on Ebay) and you simply have to ensure that you send the parcel off promptly.

Lately it's become a lot more difficult to sell on Amazon, particularly if you're selling mostly fiction. It's become inundated by companies prepared to sell in bulk, so there are many 1p listings, even for fairly obscure titles. I was fortunate in that my text books were in a relatively specialized field and tend to be rather expensive when bought new.

I have been trading on ebay for 5 years, and to be honest it is not as good as it used to be., especially for sellers. It had just got so big.

Ebay is grea for buying DMC threads, I've often bought loads at a time like that before.
I've only bought yarn once, some Debbie Bliss, haven't looked about it since though.
We've bought and sold loads of stuff though, guitars (hubby!) cd's, books, pottery, cross stitch.....loads of stuff!
