Are you one of those people who can't throw things away. I'm talking about things like:

Teenage diaries
Old School books
Old clothes that you've grown out of
Cinema tickets
Bus tickets

I must admit I am a hoarder. I seem to accumulate junk that I am reluctant to part with.

Do all hoarders require some form of councilling? :o

What's in your attic?

My dad's a hoarder - it drives my mum mad.

He keeps old magazines, empty bottles and jars, old clothes that have holes in them ("We can use them as clothes" he says!). He won't throw anything away - we have 2 broken hoovers and a leaking kettle in our loft because "they might come in useful for spare parts".

I prefer to chuck stuff out.

As a mum I have a large collection of macaroni art and home made greetings cards.

I also still have my 1st Birthday cards, every bank statement I ever got and old love letters!

Never actually keep anything useful - must have bought over twenty radiator keys because I keep chucking them out!

I used to be a terrible hoarder. I could find a potential use for anything and saved just about everything 'just in case it came in'.

Then I moved house and turned out so much c**p that I vowed I would never hoard again. Six years later and I'm still being very good. Where I come unstuck is clothes..I can't bear to throw away anything with lots of wear in it even if it doesn't fit me anymore... you see I might lose weight.

I also have every single piece of artwork and writing my kids have ever done, not to mention scrap books of every family holiday and zillions of photos.

I'm definately a hoarder, but I have the most problem with books - I hate parting with them unless I really dislike the storyline, especially if I have more than one by that author as I also hate to split sets. In fact I could almost start my own library.

No way! The only thing I collect and hold onto are all my cards from my boyfriend, but thats a soppy sentimental thing...

I don't see why anyone would possibly want to collect bus tickets... I HATE buses! Unless they're keeping a log of how much they increase the prices over the years... (But thats another thread)

Yeah, I am an hoarder.

I have saved the majority of my old music magazines from the 90's and saved just about every gig ticket from the very first gig I ever went to. Oh, I have also kept every card and letter that my girlfriend has ever sent me.

My Dad is a hoarder and it drives my family mad. I went to University, which provided him with the perfect opportunity to use my study as a hoarding room. I've got a tiny bedroom so have learnt to be ruthless or else it looks cluttered. I just recently got rid of most of my childhood soft toys cos I needed the drawer for space. I bought a new CD player and wanted to chuck my other one out but Dad has kept the speakers "incase we need a spare pair" so when in the last 21 years of my life have we ever needed a spare pair of speakers? Never.

I'm a bad hoarder. I've got about 12 years worth of NME and Melody Makers that I cannot part with, plus all the tickets from all the concerts I've been to.

Oh yes, I am a hoarder.
I even have my first borns umbilical cord! Preserved, naturally. Along with the cowl that covered my grandmothers face when she was born. (it's supposed to be lucky)

Letters are my worst sin as far as hoarding goes.

Yep, I keep everything - setlists from bands no one's heard of, notes that were left on my hall door, posters 'taken' from clubs, birthday badges, ancient beanos etc.
When I went to Nottm stadium last year to see Muse they didn't give us any tickets back

Don't let an hoarder go to the tip alone with the rubbish !! Although I occasionally succeed in getting rid of our unwanted garbage my husband always comes back with more than he took.
I dread seeing him come up the drive, the trailer filled to the top and the excited look on his face as he tells me what he was able to "rescue" and how useful it will be.... Oh well, back to square one !!!

I am currently going through that stage, but with clothes I've hardly worn.

Got over hoarding newspapers once 'The Times' went online.

I used to keep everything from a gift bag one of my old friends would save me just to send it her back with her present in lol.

Think we sent that each other a million time, she ended up with it, I used to keep all of kids school work and made them memory boxes with all baby bits in.

I don't tend to save things much now, but my husbands nan was a QVC horder she has like 2 iron pressers. 3 diffrent kinds of blenders they bought out, she died about 7 year ago and we still have not managed to clear out everything.

Because now my husbands grandad won't part with it because it was his wifes.
He is in their 3 bed home on his own and the 2 spare rooms you can't get in for things my husbands nan saved. Even all teddies the grandkids got her 9 black bags full hangiing around. Awww it makes me really miss her.
