View Full Version : My bike has been stolen again! This is getting ridiculous!
So i bought a new bike last week, lovely yellow and black!
Guess what? It got nicked again!, and this time it was locked!
then i borrowed my boyfriends, fell off and gave myself a black eye and a sore elbow!:( :help:
I think God is trying to tell you something.
lol..what dont ride a bike?
Oh dear hun, its going from bad to worse isn't it?
It makes me bloody sick at the fact they'll nick anything
Hope your black eye goes soon and ur elbow gets better!

simondjuk 16-08-2006, 09:41 Shame about it being nicked, i know where you are coming from though, same happened to me, 1 month after buying a new one.
Some bas**rds out there.
if you have personal possessions cover on house insurance that should cover bike. maybe you should just walk instead tho may be less frustrating!

Grandad.Malky 16-08-2006, 10:00 My youngest son as a scooter and as to lock it with a thick chain even on our own drive, sad but it’s a sign of the times.
Went to Minorca a few weeks ago and there were scooters and bicycles everywhere unlocked, where did we go wrong?
:(
i live at parson cross and people always go on about how bad it is and whenever we tell someone we live they they go "ooo parson cross" in a i pity you sort of way. yet many times the car has been left on front overnight unlocked, front door unlocked garage left with doors wide open over night etc and not one thing has gone missing! - i really dont know why place has such a bad rep!

I live in Parson Cross as well, also found the same thing - but I've had my bike nicked from Ecclesfield, so I came up with the conclusion that we're probably safest here as the Burglars and Thieves go to Ecclesfield or other more expensive places to steal things ;)
disclaimer: I am not saying everyone who lives in PX is a thief or criminal - I live there myself

Usually doesn't cover bikes. Reason is they're classed as something like personal transport?
In my case I could insure all my kayaking gear, but the kayak itself was classed in this way and wouldn't get cover
Maybe the best insurance is to get a high price lock that has a theft insurance as one of its selling points?
