Does anyone know of a good Blues Brothers Tribute band?
We're having a bit of a do and fancy having a Blues Brothers theme. We have a budget, but it's not huge!
Thanks.

This chap is in a Blues Brothers tribute act which, I believe, can be tailored to suit different budgets. Might be worth contacting him.

My wife went to see a blues brothers tribute band in March and has been raving about them ever since. Don't know their name as she's at work but when she gets back I'll find out for you. Do you want a full band or a couple of blokes who use backing music?

The Marriott Hotel have a Blus Bros tribute night on 8th Oct so you could try asking them for a contact.

OK, Finally found the name for you. Wife had forgotten what it was but three phone calls later, got it. They're called "Blues Buddies" and they're based in Sheffield. It's a band with guitars etc, and backing singers. Don't know the phone number but they might have a web site. Try putting their name into Google. Sorry can't be more help. Let me know if all my efforts were worth while.

Thanks Pitsmoor lad.....they do indeed have a website with a phone number. I would like a bit more info on what they're like, if they're any good etc. Did you say your wife had seen them?
Any chance of a report?

No good asking the wife, she'll have been too drunk to remember, but she did enjoy it. Trouble is when she's drunk she'd dance to the National Anthem It was at the Niagara club. I will check with others who weren't as legless and get back to you.

right I've done all I can. The names correct " blues buddies", they were at the Niagara in March and all the people I spoke to (well 3 actually) said they were very good with lots of dancing. Don't know how much they charge. Suggest you bite the bullet and contact them. Tell them I want 10%.

I have done. They sound OK, but I'm going to see them rehearse next Wednesday with a view to booking them for the gig of the century!
I'll keep you informed.

On the basis that my wife and her mates will dance to anything I'm willing to hire them out as rent a crowd. (just don't offer to buy them drinks, your budget would soon go !!
