Any Flash users (content creators) out there in SheffieldForumLand?

I use it, and am just getting onto actionscript. Need some tips.

I've used it a bit... and done a bit of Action Scripting.

What version are you using? I've used 4 and 5 - not tried MX yet.

I have Flash MX, but could never really get into the swing of things.
So now it's just sitting there.. On my desktop.. Doing nothing. Oh well.. :wink:

I use flash MX and the actionscript is a big improvement from flash 5.

In MX I've got an app that can send mail, but for the life of me cannot work out how to pick up from POP3 (or accept SMTP or connect to IMAP, don't care) using Flash. I'm using a plugin for NorthCode SWF Studio (which is ace) to do the SMTP send. It's a bit complicated, but it just about works - but needs a relay which is bothersome (it will try to connect to the server designated in MX records but this is not really what you want)

Any Ideas?
