View Full Version : Any Dog meets in S6?
Hi all, new to area...
Are there any dog meets/walks in the Hillsbro'/Stannington areas organised in the near future?
Cheers
Hayley x
Looks like you have the floor Hayley ;)
Next weekend we're off for a hard slog across Kinder if you're fit enough (see walking thread on 'sports and activities' forum...
Pick a date, and a meeting place, and we'll see who's interested - oh, and a good dog pub or cafe would be nice if you know of one ;)
Welcome to SF Pets btw
Thanx for the welcome...and well, Kinder? I'll have to get the map out, I hardly know anywhere up here lol! I was kinda hoping other members would hold all the info for me lol :help:
I'll certainly give it a go tho!
cheers

Hey! Don't go wriggling out of this one ;)
When's this Hillsborough/Stannington one walk going to be? I know a couple of forumers who'd be interested if we can find somebody who knows the area - like yourself :)
This is my point, I'd get lost outside the front gate, it's a scary place out there!
There is a pub over past the schools...I think it's called Robin Hood, we've taken the lass over there a couple of times...
That's a good start point then :) (assuming 'the lass' is your pooch?)
I'll dig a map out, and we'll see what we can arrange :)
(Where's Lotti got to? :suspect: )
Cool, look forward to it :)
hockeybear 17-08-2006, 23:11 from the Robin hood you can cross over the bridge, ( if the dogs will cross it) and walk up the Loxley valley. A better walk though would be the Loxley and Wadsley common, I'm away for the next 2 weeks but I'll get in touch when I return to Sheffield.
Dave..
Looks like we have our guide for this one :)
Excellent! Look forward to it Dave, what kind of dog dya have?
katy1981 18-08-2006, 20:48 ohh i did try to arrange one but i think it got lost or i put it in the wrong area ( nowt new for me though :hihi: )

I have a 5 year old Border collie and a 2 year old German Shepherd. The GSD is very full on with other dogs but he is very friendly with dogs and people, he just loves to meet other dogs, Its probably because he was a stray before I got him that he runs at full speed to greet his own kind and this is off putting to unsuspecting owners. Dog meets could help to calm him down. Hope I haven't put you off because you will love him when you meet him.
Dave..
He'll be fine on a lead though surely? Just whilst the dogs get used to each other ;)
not at all Dave, our lass is the same, still a pup really...
you're very welcome too Katy, I'll look forward to meeting u and your liluns, they look very sweet :)
I do hope they can handle these bigger dogs :)
Here I am!!!
I will bring the Stupid spotty but not the grumpy one as he will probably make a nuisance of himself. Then again, so will Stupid so nowt new there!
Will look forward to more info being posted. I don't know Stannington very well despite family living there so will let someone else sort this out!!
We're joining a meet organised by the walkers group this Saturday - if anybody is interested :)
