The quality of the stories on this part of the forum leaves me breathless at times. I used to think that I was a decent writer, and I have read thousands of brilliant books over the years, but I keep getting completely blown away by the stories on here.

That was one of the best that Ive read.
and I just dont mean on the forum.

I try to be helpful and constructive, but I simply cant find fault.

Really enjoyed reading the tail unfold. Loved the reference to toasting the bread at his gran's, reminded me of being at my nan's when little putting the bread on the toasting fork waiting for it to turn into toast next to the fire.

Mantaspook, what can I add?

A riveting story. Such imagination.

Although it's just past midday here now, it's the sort of short story I love to read late at night.

Thank you indeed for that contribution to the Group.
